Tesla has launched a new Model 3 with a range of almost 400 miles, but this model is exclusively for business purposes.

Tesla has announced that it will release a new version of the Model 3 in the UK, which will be equipped with a Long Range battery pack and a single RWD motor. However, this particular version of Model 3 will only be available for purchase by businesses.

Currently, Tesla has three different versions of the Model 3 available for purchase: Standard Range RWD, Long Range AWD, and Performance AWD.

Tesla is introducing a new version of the Model 3 specifically designed for commercial customers. Karen Bowen, a senior key account manager at Tesla, announced on LinkedIn that the new variant, called Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive, will have a range of 394 miles (WLTP) and offer convenient charging at an entry-level price of £46,990.

The goal is to accelerate the electrification of Europe's business-to-business fleet.

The Model 3 has a Long Range battery pack and a single rear-wheel-drive motor, unlike the current two-motor Long Range version. It costs £46,990, which is £4,000 more than the Standard Range and £4,000 cheaper than the regular Long Range AWD.

It has a WLTP range of 394 miles, making it Tesla's longest-range Model 3. However, it's only accessible through Tesla's business-to-business division, and deliveries are set to begin in June.

And it only appears to be available in the UK for now.

One possible reason for the high purchase of electric vehicles by businesses in the UK is the strong incentives provided, such as the capped company car tax of 2%, which is significantly lower than the regular 20% to 37% based on the vehicle type.

One of the incentives for businesses is a year-one deduction of 100% of the vehicle cost, along with others.

Many people in the UK are buying electric vehicles through businesses because of these incentives. It's uncertain if Tesla will make the new model available in other markets or through channels other than their business fleet division.
